I don't want to apply products on Joaquim's skin that are dangerous because of harmful chemicals, that's why I opted for an all natural mosquito repellant.

| Akari insect killer |
We bought an Akari Insect Killer for P300+ from Ace Hardware. What it does is it attracts mosquitoes with the light and heat its emitting, then they get electrecuted when they make contact. This works best when it's the only light turned on.

| baygon electric plug-in mosquito repellent and mats |
We also have the Baygon electric plug-in mosquito repellent (the one that uses mats). Can't remember how much the plug-in costs but the mats are about P2.00 a piece. One mat is good for 8 hours and it can protect an area of 12ft x 12ft. It does not emit fumes and the scent is not that strong.
Our windows are already screened, next project a screen door! :)

I use Human ♥ Nature Citronella Bug Spray. The smell does not bother me, and besides it doubles as a moisturizer for my arms and legs instead of lotion. =)

I've been using it for more than 2 years now & I'm afraid of its side effects. Please help...
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how safe is the Baygon Electric Mosquito Repellant & mats to our health? I read some articles saying the these products are cancerous & were banned in many countries including the U.S. & Australia. I've been using it for 2 years now & I'm afraid of it's ill side effects. What other mosquito insect repellants can you suggest that doesn't have any harmful chemicals?
ReplyDeleteKapag medyo di makulit ang lamok, ok ako sa mga 'natural'
ReplyDeletePero kapag tipong camping and outdoors. I don't risk it. Go to ko na talaga ang OFF.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been looking for ways to keep mosquitoes away from my daughter. She goes to school na, kaya i'm worried. I don't want her to get dengue. And prevention is always better than cure.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I am nowhere near market market, so I can't get to try Giga. But, I am currently using HHN's Bug Spray (which is more of an oil), but I got tired of the smell already as it is too strong. Might try Oryspa's instead once I run out. :)
